What Is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is nothing like the dramatized portrayals you see in stage shows. Hypnotherapy is actually a very gentle, soothing way of moving your "monkey mind" out of the way, so that your deep inner guidance can shine through instead.
Hypnosis is very similar to guided meditation. It's a deep state of relaxation that brings forth an intensely focused state of concentration. Hypnotherapy changes the brainwaves from our busy daily "beta" brainwave state, to a much more relaxed and focused "alpha" or even "theta" brainwave state. In these altered states, you become MORE AWARE of your inner self, your inner vision, your body sensations. Your pineal gland will activate and it's likely that you'll learn to visualize better than you have been able to before. This acute state of awareness opens up worlds of knowledge for us that we simply could not achieve with talk therapy alone.
Once I've guided you into this peaceful state, it's much easier to work with your painful, confused, stuck places within that have caused so much anguish and confusion. We may have felt unsettled for much of our lives. The hurt places inside tend to keep us in a state of "fight/flight/freeze". Hypnotherapy teaches the nervous system how to come out of dysregulation, and back into a state of "rest and digest", or emotional regulation.
