People are realizing there is a more authentic way to heal. Deeper wounds cannot be reached through talk-therapy alone (that's the old paradigm.) We must heal in a multidimensional way. It's about taking a gentle, deep look at the sub-conscious imprints that have gotten laid down in the body, mind, heart and the soul levels, learning how they have caused trouble, and surprisingly, how they have protected you. Then, you and I will gently and quickly clear them.
"This is a time in history where it's not enough to know. It's a time in history to know HOW." ~ Joe Dispenza Paige Bartholomew Newberry knows HOW. Try one or two sessions and see if you come away with a sense that you've found a very different, highly effective way to heal. |

Hello! I'm Paige Newberry. I'm 52 years old, a mother of two college kids, and a mom to a fluffy, white puppy-dog who likes to lick my hand -just once- to say, "I love you"! As a 4th generation, native Austinite, I find rest and comfort in my dear home, and my huge family. My gardens love me as much as I love them. I am SO BLESSED TO GET TO DO WHAT I LOVE FOR A LIVING! I've been a hypnotherapist for 25 years, and in private practice as a master's level psychotherapist for 12 years. My professional training lies in the integration of hypnosis, PTSD treatment, Attachment Therapy, Internal Family Systems (aka: parts work) Somatic Experiencing, and Neurobiology for chronic pain and trauma. I use the healing wisdom of the Sufis to reach the inner-child within ...the child whose heart was (and still is) so broken. I am honored to bring everything I know, and everything I AM, to my clients. It's a uniquely rare, and emotionally intimate relationship.
I can't wait to meet YOU! Let's talk for free. Schedule your phone call with me HERE.
Until then,
Paige
This Isn't Your Average Talk Therapy -
Do we talk together? Yes, of course! We will get to know each other very well. But something more needs to take place in order to dig down to those really deep-seated memories and pockets of pain that keep you stuck or sick. Through the process, you need someone who's been around the block to hold your hand. Working with a therapist who possesses extra-sensory perception can quickly get to the heart of those slippery patches, and focus your attention right where to work.
My Philosophy on Healing -
It is not in the development of the mind that we heal. It is in the development of our loving "higher-self" which opens up whole new worlds of healing. The only way to reverse neurosis or trauma is to embrace trauma embraces the pain within any kind of "love-wisdom field". It takes seeking honest self-knowing and self-acceptance through spiritual practices or personal growth practices - this is considered the therapeutic setting. Specifically the use of Internal Family Systems within a hypnotic trance re-imprints or re-writes the complex and confusing web of pain. If things feel stuck or hopeless, I believe that is a distortion that comes from fear. It is my practice to never stop searching for answers when things feel stuck, because I believe that there's ALWAYS ANOTHER SOLUTION. The Universe is prolific in it's abundance of answers - if only one knows how to listen. Together we'll find out how YOU are wired to hear the voice of your higher self. Compassionately inviting a person's most tender self to safely come out of it's shell ...that's my superpower.
Building a Healing Bond -
During our time together, it's important for you and I to form a TRUSTING and CARING BOND. Many therapists don't work this way, but I have faith in the latest research which shows that a close, trusting friendship between therapist and client brings about the best healing results. It's called ATTACHMENT THERAPY. You and I will develop more than just a weekly clinical relationship, we will become a team. I will be available to text me whenever you need my encouragement and care, 24/7. Drop-in emergency sessions are available. I'm not just your therapist, I'm an important part of your support system.
From our very first conversation, you will find that I'm easy to talk to. I'm not one of those quiet, clinical-type therapists; I openly and honestly share my perceptions and intuitions, and I ask lots of questions. You will also find me to be (gently) challenging when you need and want to be challenged. And, while much of what we discuss will be serious, a sense of humor not only builds trust and strengthens relationship, but it makes therapy more personal and FUN!

Chronic Pain and Illness -
I use hypnotherapy for pain, and Somatic Therapy for neurobiological issues and pain.
How do painful memories have anything to do with our bodies? One might believe that the traumatic event(s) have been put behind them, however, the body remembers. Often the body clings to unresolved issues without us knowing it, and causes symptoms like inflammation, joint issues, bone issues, painful connective tissue, chronic pain, emotional pain any many other complex problems.
Physical pain, illness or injury can be a manifestation of unfinished business on an emotional level. According to Bessel Van Der Kolk's work in neurobiology, the nervous system is likely holding onto old trauma in the form of discomfort in the body. This can lead a person to stay in persistent survival mode. You can think of this is as a constant bracing or tension, where the body is ready to protect itself. A body in a state such as this cannot relax, nor does it manifest well-being. Often this constant bracing leads to injury and illness. Studies show that 50 - 90% of patients who experienced any sort of emotional or relational trauma in their past will experience chronic physical pain, or chronic illness later in life. Especially if the trauma or abuse was persistent.
To make things worse... living with unbearable pain can be a trauma unto itself.
Health studies show much more positive outcomes when counseling is used as an adjunct to a pain-management program.

Trauma Leads to Depression/Anxiety and PTSD -
Many of our "blocks" come from relational trauma that happened as a child, teen or adult. (Trauma can be BIG EVENTS, or teeny tiny ones called MICRO-AGGRESSIONS). Trauma is the LEADING CAUSE OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.
Betrayal, breech of trust, abandonment, triangulation, gaslighting, physical or verbal abuse, neglect, not being heard, not feeling like you matter, mis-attunement from a caregiver (or spouse), blaming, shaming, isolation. All of that pain tends to get dragged into adulthood. You may feel emotional numbness, recurrent depression, panic, anxiety, lack of safety in relationship, lack of safety in the world, inability to be oneself, feeling stuck, or paralyzed. Another surprising symptom of relational trauma or abuse is chronic pain and illness. These painful roadblocks cause a person to curl inward on him or herself, not knowing how, or who to trust. Not knowing what to do to make it better. My specialty is treating these relational traumas, and thereby creating relief and release from the misery and desperation you may be feeling.

More Shifting - Less Processing
Instead of talking your feelings to death, our aim is to give you a transformative experience. Using everything that psychology has learned about the parasympathetic nervous system, we can quickly SHIFT you to a new story (accessing the part of the brain that sees things in a fresh way). We'll get you to a place where your past story haunts you no longer. We'll shift to a parallel reality where you are in charge of the choices in your life - not a victim of circumstances.
It's brave, yet loving work. Be ready to find all the places that have been hiding because of debilitating fear. Our goal is to collaborate together to find them, scoop them into our hearts, and release the pain, once and for all. If you're ready to do this deep introspective work, you will find that change WILL FINALLY COME, and freedom from inner torment can be yours.

Spiritual Healing and Hypnosis -
I'll help guide you to transform your body, thoughts, and emotions through working with your HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS. Your subconscious will lead us where we need to go. This is not "The Paige Show", it's your show. You'll always be in charge of a hypnosis session, not me. In session, you're always aware enough to be in control.
If you happen to be spiritual or religious, we'll bring your personal beliefs into your healing journey, because using Divine Energy is one of the MOST POWERFUL ways to clear mental distortions and blocks. You'll learn to use your own inner light and the Light of the Divine to turn your chronic pain into miraculous blessings. I'll meet you wherever you are, spiritually or religiously. I love and respect all religions and paths. I am a highly experienced past-life regressionist, and "between-lives" hypnotic regressionist. I use my special gifts of psychic sight, clair-audience and clair-sentience to receive messages which will inform our sessions together, giving us more information about you.
The secrets of emotional mastery aren't difficult.
One just has to learn HOW.
Really GOOD Couples Counseling -
Back in the day, psychology believed that a person should "do all of her work on him/herself" before becoming romantically involved with someone else.
That was backward thinking.
Nowadays, psychologists see things very differently. Partnership is viewed as our most valuable healing resource. If a couple doesn't possess the skills for maintaining a healthy relationship, the fact is that most relationships won't survive. This is sad for me. I've seen what conscious relationship looks like - and it's GLORIOUS! Mastering the art of communication, navigating triggers, and using love as a medicine for a wounded heart aren't things that come naturally. We have to learn these skills - and practice them with our partner. IF YOU CAN SAVE YOUR LOVE RELATIONSHIP it CAN SAVE YOU IN RETURN.

How Long will Counseling Take?
Many issues can be addressed within short-term therapy (about 12 -15 sessions, or 3 - 6 months), but more serious issues such as trauma, long-standing grief, adult relationship loss, neglect or abuse, childhood wounds, abandonment, prolonged depression/anxiety, serious marital transgressions or addictions require longer-term therapy. A good rule of thumb is that it takes one year of clinical work for every decade lived in a state of distress, pain, irresolution or dysfunction. If you want to do this work, expect it to take between 6 - 24 months. This is why it's important to me to offer what the vast majority of therapists don't: out-of-network insurance billing, personalized payment plans and sliding scales to help you afford therapy every single week.
This work is an investment for the happiness of your lifetime. If you're ready to finally see change - this is it.
