Do you feel that you have been wronged, victimized, attacked or abandoned?
So the question to ask isn't "Why are you guys so mean and bad and wrong?" The only line of questioning that will ever bring me freedom is, 'Where have I believed I was wrong? Where have I criticized and judged myself? How have I pathologized myself? Discredited myself? Manipulated myself? Where have I shut my own self out?" These places may be really hard to see in ourselves at first, but they will lead us to our own healing.
Why Don't We Readily See This?
We humans are born with amnesia. This amnesia makes us forget all about where we came from, what we're doing here, and the realities of the Universe. Creator has a very good reason for this amnesia. Creator wants us to remember these things on our own. It's the way we learn and grow. If all the information was available to us, we would have no impulse to reach for more.
This same amnesia causes us not to see where our problems come from. We THINK they come from outside ourselves. But in truth, there is no "outside ourselves". The grand illusion is that, while you're living in any created world - you ARE the creator. (I do believe there is an ultimate God. Read more about God here.) But on Earth - you and I are creating the illusion of our physical lives. You are creating everything you're experiencing, directly out of your own consciousness. Your life is an exact mirror of what lives inside you. The belief patterns you've adopted since childhood are mostly buried now that you're grown. They are living in your unconscious. But it is those hidden beliefs that are "driving your bus", so to speak. What's still unconscious in us, is what shows up in our lives - because our higher self wants us to MAKE IT ALL CONSCIOUS!!!
Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life - and you will call it fate.”
Here's the treat: once we do our deep work, and are able to re-frame the CAUSE into it's correct place; when we're ready to take responsibility for what was ours all along, the whole world will feel like a much safer, less threatening place to live. This is how we take our power back - by admitting to ourselves that we are responsible for our suffering. Look deeply, my friend. We are responsible in a much more profound way than we ever imagined. What's showing up on the screen of our lives is being projected in real time from our minds. The filmstrip contains our unconscious beliefs inside.
When we realize the origin of the movie we watch, we see there's no one 'out there' to blame. It's life showing us where to apply more Love.
Remember who you are.
You truly do hold the Power of the Universe within.
